A story that starts from the heart of the watermark

It was 1979 when Giampaolo Rizzo decided to found the Gierre company. In the heart of the historic village of Campo Ligure, in the province of Genoa, a small shop opens on the ground floor and an artisan workshop on the first floor. It immediately stands out for its silver filigree items which, while respecting the traditions rooted in the homeland of the Filigree Jewelery, have original innovations.

All products are designed in the company's laboratory after studies of trends and market satisfaction, also in relation to direct contact with sector operators and the public at the stand at the main trade and craft fairs.

Development towards international markets

Since 1994, the Gierre company has also been present on the main foreign markets such as the United States, Germany, France and Japan. Production is carried out scrupulously and completely by hand in the laboratory or with the help of skilled craftsmen in external laboratories. All items are subjected to strict quality control.

In 1999 the premises of the Gierre company were completely renovated: on the ground floor the store was completely renovated, dedicating more space to the exhibition, the offices and the computerized warehouse on the first floor and the laboratory moved to the second floor.

Mrs. Gabriella, the owner's wife, joins the company, taking care of the production and organization of the fairs.

Filigree, a fixed point of reference, is also combined with the processing of silver jewels, with a vast production of bracelets, earrings, chokers and pendants, paying particular attention to their originality and quality.

Artisans in Liguria

Since 2009, the products have also been on sale on the website www.gierresilver.it, where it is also possible to view the processing phases and the calendar of the Fairs. In addition, some famous brands are included: Brosway, Kidult, Nomination, Amen, Marlù and Rebecca.

In 2010 the Liguria Region recognized the Gierre company with the "Artisans in Liguria - Filigrana di Campo Ligure - Superior Class" brand.

Since 2013 he has collaborated in the company, taking care of the website and customer relations, including his daughter Claudia.

In March 2017 the second store was opened in the historic center of Genoa in Via di Soziglia 94.

An elegant packaging, together with the accuracy of the execution and the details carefully studied in respect of the artisan tradition, complete the cycle of a successful product that over the years has always found new admirers and continues to grow over time.
